Perfectly fine hotel for a few nights. Rooms clean, ok sized and did the job after a long flight from the UK. Breakfast area a little dead and no atmosphere for some reason but it was low season but all the food we had there was v nice. Reception staff all nice. Thao was the star though with her endearing manner and helpfulness with everything. There was something about her that was so nice. We liked Hanoi though it was 26 years since we had previously visited Vietnam when we saw only the south. Hanoi was nice and I am glad we went but Halong bay was hideously commercialised and I wish we hadn’t visited….. Ningh Bin ( incorrect spelling !) was the highlight outside of Hanoi and indeed probably of the 5 days in Vietnam. We preferred Laos where we went to next but in fairness that was probably more reminiscent of Vietnam back in the mid 90s. We got ripped off on the cyclo bikes from the lake but that was over pricing and communication. The Vietnamese are v intelligent folks who we like a lot so he was in the absolute minority of everyone we met for ripping us off :( I should add around the hotel are various cafes/ restaurants and little bars, also a fancy place selling wine . We ate out every night as the breakfast space/ restaurant was somewhat soulless but there were plenty of things very close by and also 5/7 mins walk away so it was all great. Doubt we will return to Vietnam again so want to wish the hotel staff and all the people we met well for the future.

A very good hotel , central and close to the old quarter, superb breakfast, very friendly and polite staff, room well appointed, very comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning, a pity we were only able to stay 2 nights ,would strongly recommend this hotel.

Reminded us of the Landmark in London. Strong recommendation. Beautiful rooms and lobby, with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room on the top floor. Gym is a bit small but does the job. Many embassies nearby, clean and tidy area, 20 min to the old town by foot.

We only stayed for 1 night but I wish we stayed for longer. The hotel itself is in a lovely location with plenty of ATMs & cafes and restaurants close by. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the Old Quarter as well which is quite a pleasant walk. The room was very comfortable and fairly large. The beds were soft, the air conditioning was fab and there was a bath which we made use of during the evening. All amenities were provided for and we were able to use the hotel car to get to the airport the next morning.

We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group, and “Quy” at the front desk deserves recognition for the outstanding service she provided. She helped us with currency exchanging, and even made reservations for us at a local restaurant amongst other things and did it all with a great smile and welcoming attitude. The hotel has a convenient location and comfortable rooms, but the level of service made the difference. Thank you!
